Jess Glynn 18th June - Kingsholm Stadium, Kingsholm Road, Gloucester, GL51 3AX
The flame-haired star has three Brit Awards nominations for British Breakthrough Act, British Female Solo Artist and British Single for ‘Hold My Hand’.
Jess Glynne will join a prestigious list of artists who have previously performed at Kingsholm Stadium, including Tom Jones, Elton John, Madness, Ronan Keating and McFly.
Jess Glynne said: ‘It’s going to be great fun playing at Kingsholm Stadium the home of Gloucester Rugby. I love outdoor shows so I can’t wait to share the summer evening with my fans!’
One of the UK’s biggest breakthrough acts of recent years, Jess Glynne stormed onto the music scene as the vocalist on Clean Bandit’s Grammy award-winning hit, ‘Rather Be’.
Since then, her recent number-one charting debut album, I Cry When I Laugh, has turned double platinum in the UK, making it the highest selling debut album of the past year, while the singer also boasts five number one singles in the UK.
Stephen Vaughan, Gloucester Rugby CEO, said: ‘We expect this concert to be a huge success, offering a fresh new sound ahead of the long-established and popular Lionel Richie who will take to the stage the following weekend.’
Tickets are expected to sell-out for this one-off show and will go on sale to the general public at 9am on Wednesday 6 April 2016 via tickets.gloucesterrugby.co.uk.
