Cheltenham Heritage Open Days
Heritage Open Days take place all around England between the 7th and the 10th of September, allowing you to discover more about the heritage and history of your town. A few different places such as the Cheltenham Playhouse or the Francis Close Hall at the University of Gloucestershire open their doors during this particular weekend and you can learn more about Cheltenham, for free.
OVO Energy Tour of Britain Cheltenham
120 cyclists will take part in The OVO Energy Tour of Britain between the 3rd and the 10th of September, working their way down from Edinburgh to Cardiff. Before the last leg of the Tour they will cycle through Cheltenham on the 9th of September and there will be lots of activities in the city centre all day long. Expect demonstrations of the latest bikes, exclusive discounts and a great day out celebrating The Cheltenham Festival of Cycling.
Cheltenham Foodie Tour
Looking for an original way to discover Cheltenham’s culinary delights? Join the Cheltenham Foodie Tour on 1st October and discover local dishes for 3 hours. The tour runs every Saturday and covers several shops in the city, allowing you to try savoury and sugary specialities, including cheese, charcuterie and ice-cream. What an original way to discover the regency town by trying its local delicacies.
The Times and The Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival
One of Cheltenham’s most famous festivals is taking place at the beginning of October for all literary fans. The Cheltenham Literature Festival will celebrate great writers during 10 days of entertainment around town between the 6th and the 15th of October. Enjoy a culinary treat in The Spiegeltent, get your little ones dressed up or participate in a treasure hunt… we won’t reveal anymore.
