Cheltenham Festival and Gold Cup: 13th-16th March
The Festival returns to Cheltenham racecourse and is guaranteed to be the highlight of the Jump Season in 2018. It is four days of some of the best horse-racing in the UK, whilst delivering a fantastically fun and elegant atmosphere.
Watch the finest horses, jockeys, owners and trainers battle it out to win the highest racing honour. The four-day festival includes Champion Day on the 13th, Ladies Day on the 14th, St Patricks Thursday on the 15th, and the Cheltenham Gold Cup and closing day on the 16th.
There is something for everyone at The Festival, and the racecourse is located only 4 miles from our hotel, making this an ideal day out.
Cheltenham Jazz Festival: 2nd– 7th May
If you are a lover of Jazz music, then you won’t want to miss this renowned festival. Enjoy an unbelievable six day Jazz music festival, bringing together some of the biggest music stars together to deliver fantastic music.
You’ll enjoy a range of features in the family tent which provides workshops, performances and sing-alongs. A delicious range of food and drink will be also available and at less than a 10-minute drive from our gorgeous hotel, you can have an unforgettable day out and enjoy the unique combination of the best contemporary jazz and blues acts in the world.
Cheltenham Science Festival: 5th– 10th June
If you are the inquisitive type, then the Cheltenham Science Festival is unmissable. Located less than 3 miles from our hotel, you can enjoy a day of pure science with ease.
The theme of Cheltenham’s Science Festival this year will be ‘Connected: Divided’. With more than 80 free activities for you to enjoy in the interactive zones it invites guests of all ages to play, explore and learn. This year they have even created a brand new Cyber Zone which is sure to be an unforgettable learning experience.
The Times and The Sunday Times Cheltenham Literature Festival: 5th-14th October
This special 10-day festival, is a literary lover’s perfect day out. The festival welcomes over 600 of the best writers, actors, politicians and poets to bask in the glory of the land of literature. There will be numerous debates, interviews and workshops to enjoy in this 10-day celebration.
The Times Cheltenham Literature Festival is one of the oldest and most famous literary celebrations in the UK, so if you love literature you won’t want to miss it.
Located less than 10 minutes from our hotel, the beautiful Cheltenham Town Hall will host the event and it is a rare chance to meet your favourite authors and poets.
Everyman Theatre: All Year
The Everyman Theatre offers a fantastic range of famous productions all year round. Notable events you won’t want to miss in 2018 include the 80’s dance sensation ‘Flashdance’ which is running from the 29th January until the 3rd of February.
From May 29th until June 3rd you will get the chance to sing-along to ‘Hairspray’ and to top the year off, ‘Aladdin’ will be coming to the Everyman Theatre in Cheltenham from November 30th until January the 13th January. As our hotel is less than 10 minutes from the Everyman Theatre, you can enjoy any of these productions stress free.
